Eyebrows
Your eyebrows are the most important feature of your face. They frame the eyes and give the face expression.
We at Ruth Swissa study the shape and contours of your face and its unique bone structure. Eyebrows are then tweezed into their nost flattering shape,
utilizing each hair in the natural eyebrow. Then, corrections in their symmetry and enhancements to their shape are drawn in with pencil. Brows that may be too light in color, too thin, sparse or even non-existent are filled in with natural-looking strokes by the micro-pigmentation process.We never use the generic stencils that were in style twenty years ago. Each of our clients leaves our studio with natural-looking eyebrows that suit and enhance her individual facial expression.
Eyeliner
Eyeliner defines and enhances the beauty of the eyes. It makes the lashes appear thicker, even when mascara is not worn.
To many people, the thought of never having to worry about smudging eyeliner ever again seems like a futuristic dream. With the new eyeliner procedure offered at Ruth Swissa, the future is now.
Permanent eyeliner is delicately applied with a sterile applicator made specifically for fine, detailed facial work, utilizing the micro-pigmentation process. (Each applicator is for a one-time use only). Color is applied along both the upper and lower lash lines, creating a defined but soft radiance around the eyes. If a stronger look is desired, thickness of the color may be increased gradually over several sessions.
Both during and after the procedure, topical anesthetics are applied to the lash lines, keeping any discomfort to a minimum. Slight swelling pf the areas involved might be apparent but will diminish and disappear by end of the first week.
Full Lip

Lip color may be applied either as a liner only, or on the entire lip surface by the micro-pigmentation process. Lip liner itself can serve several purposes. It can redefine the shape of the lips, correcting imperfections in symmetry or shape, or it may actually redesign the outline of the lips in order to create a more desirable look. The lip liner color may blend in gradually to the full lip color, or a bolder color may be chosen for the liner.Color for the lip liner and the full lip color chosen by you in consultation with us. A few weeks after the procedure, touch-ups are performed, leaving you with full gorgeous lips.During the procedure, topical anesthetics are applied to the lips to minimize any discomfort you may feel. After the procedure, slight puffiness will be apparent for the first twenty-four hours. The applied color will appear approximately twenty-five percent darker or lighter immediately after its application, but then achieve its permanent color after a few weeks. During this time, lips will feel dry or chapped, so you must keep applying lip balm to keep them moisturized.
Scar Camouflage
Scars, burns and discolorations caused by vitiligo or other skin conditions can be camouflaged with the medical micro-pigmentation process, utilizing color to help defects blend in with suffounding skin tones. Areola Pigmentation
At Ruth Swiss, the medical micro-pigmentation process is used to improve the aesthetic appearance of the nipple areola complex after reconstructive breast surgery.
The application of flesh-colored pigments to the restored areas of the areola may be utilized either as a supplement or as a less invasive alternative to the skin-grafting.
